Description
MHP Aftermarket Cast Iron Burner. Sold Individually.
This is a high-quality aftermarket cast iron burner used as a replacement in select DCS, GE, and related legacy grills. Cast iron burners deliver strong heat but require periodic inspection and basic care.
When should I replace my burner?
- Burner holes are no longer uniform (ports appear stretched, merged, or uneven).
- Cracks or splitting anywhere along the burner body.
- Rust, flaking, or dry cast iron, especially in salty or humid environments.
Why this matters: When some burner ports clog, gas is forced through the remaining openings. This can create blowtorch-style flames that lead to cracking and premature failure.
Cast iron care tip
After cleaning and drying, apply a light coat of vegetable oil. This helps protect cast iron from drying, rust, and corrosion—especially near coastal areas.
