It installs permanently on your patio and utilizes radiant heat to warm people and objects, not the surrounding air. The heater post features a durable, black powder-coat finish. This patio heater uses natural gas and operates at 50,000 BTUs per hour. The deep-dish reflector broadcasts radiant heat over an area of up to 12 feet in diameter, depending on wind conditions. The Sunglo PSA265E has a completely automated ignition system that requires 24 volts, the transformer is not included and should be supplied by the installer. The heater automatically operates the pilot and burner and can be controlled with an electrical switch, timer, or another control device. The unit also has a safety shut-off control. A 24-inch clearance from combustibles around the sides of the heater is required for safe use.
